We also adapt contact lenses in more special cases such as:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image media=”101334″ media_width_percent=”100″ uncode_shortcode_id=”117718″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”2″ top_padding=”0″ bottom_padding=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ equal_height=”yes” gutter_size=”4″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ el_class=”inverted-device-order” uncode_shortcode_id=”570995″][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ position_vertical=”middle” gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ width=”1/1″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”112455″]

  • Therapeutic contact lenses after surgery
This special adaptation is aimed primarily at patients with corneal or eyelid abnormalities or pathologies (post-refractive surgery complications, ulcers, keratitis, entropion, trichiasis…, etc.); the lens has a therapeutic purpose of protecting the front of the eye, which prevents the eyelids and eyelashes from rubbing against the cornea.
  • Progressive contact lenses
There are currently several types of progressive contact lenses on the market (diffractive, bifocal, monovision, etc.) to achieve comfortable vision at any distance.
  • Cosmetic contact lenses
This type of adaptation is offered to patients who want to change the aesthetics of their own eye (color and shape of the iris), or for patients with congenital malformations or acquired by some trauma or accident. Anisocoria, albinism or nystagmus contact lenses are also included in this category.
  • Contact lenses for aphakia
These types of contact lenses are indicated for people who have had cataract surgery without an intraocular lens (IOL),being a good solution to correct high residual ametropia after surgery.
  • RPG contact lenses (rigid gas permeable)
The difference between a semi-rigid contact lens and a soft lens is the greater oxygen passage between the lens and the eye, due to the permeability of its material to that of the soft lenses. The RPG contact lens allows the necessary oxygen to pass through to ensure proper eye physiology, especially for users who wear their contact lenses for many hours a day. Semi-rigid contact lenses can compensate for more complex corneal refractive errors, being especially indicated in the following cases:

    • Control and reduction of myopia progression. Ortho-K lenses are the most suitable in these cases due to their geometric characteristics
    • Keratoconus and elevated astigmatism
    • Patients with a small amount of tears
    • Myopia Magna
    • Ultraviolet (UV) filter contact lenses

Ultraviolet light filters can now be incorporated into contact lenses for patients exposed to this type of harmful radiation and who need greater mobility without glasses (sports, outdoor activities, etc.).
